By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. They explain how orders, payment, delivery, cancellations and returns work at our Wigan sweet shop.

Full terms
These terms apply to website visitors and customers ordering sweets, chocolates, crisps or other snacks from Varley & Vickers Treats. Nothing here limits rights you have under UK consumer law.
-
Definitions
“We”, “us” and “our” mean Varley & Vickers Treats, 2A Flora Street, Wigan, WN4 9EG. “You” means the person using this website or placing an order. “Goods” means the sweets and snacks shown for sale on our website.
-
Orders and contract formation
Please check your basket, delivery details and product quantities before submitting an order. Your order is a request to buy; a contract is formed when we confirm acceptance by email or begin preparing the goods.
We may contact you if a product is unavailable, incorrectly listed or affected by a clear pricing error. We will offer an appropriate alternative or arrange a refund for any affected item.
-
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown before you submit your order, so the total is clear before payment.
Payment must be completed using the methods available at checkout. We do not store full card details. An order may be held until payment has been authorised.
-
Delivery and risk
We deliver locally in and around Wigan to the address entered at checkout, subject to the delivery area and time slot shown there. We will tell you if an unforeseen delay changes the expected timeframe.
Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person you nominate. Please check the parcel promptly and contact us about damage or missing items.
-
Cancellations and returns
You can ask to cancel an order before it has been prepared for dispatch or collection. For eligible non-perishable goods, you usually have 14 days after delivery to tell us you want to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return them.
The cancellation right does not apply in the same way to goods that expire quickly, personalised selections, or sealed goods that are unsuitable for return once unsealed. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods remain covered by your statutory rights.
-
Intellectual property
The website text, branding, photographs and page design belong to Varley & Vickers Treats or our licensors. You may view the site for personal use, but you must not copy, alter or republish its content without written permission.
-
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for losses that the law says we cannot exclude, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of your consumer rights. We are not responsible for losses caused by misuse of the goods or events outside our reasonable control.
-
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will deal with disputes, while consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland keep any mandatory local rights available to them.
